Tangible Thinking in the Wild
Once an idea leaves your head, you don't get to control what happens to it.
Sometimes it gets challenged.
Sometimes it gets reframed.
Sometimes it turns up somewhere you didn't expect.
Whether an idea is borrowed, independently discovered, or simply arrives at the same place from a different direction, I find that kind of convergence fascinating. I rather like that!

Context: I first presented a talk at Monkey and River in 2024, when I spoke about the importance of behavioural science in design, and that design should always aim to be more human-centered.
One month after my talk on 'The Problem with Solutions' -- which explores a similar underlying pattern: how attempts to solve a problem can themselves become part of the problem -- Monkey and River presented The Problem with Being Right.
