I've been writing for many years at the intersection of business process improvement, psychology, neuroscience and human behaviour

Kintsugi

So it came as a surprise even to myself that I could not have imagined that my first book will be about a medical condition. In it, I took a holistic view into the myriad dimensions that make up a medical condition I had been afflicted with since I was about 8 years old. This condition, called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) was diagnosed by an allergy doctor in Pretoria in around 2017. The book, Kintsugi: Merging the Many Pieces of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome looks at MCAS from a systemic, psychological, neurological, biological and environmental (contextual) perspective. Health is not just physical; it is more than our tangible immune systems nervous systems in equilibruim. Our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are the intangible opposite side of the coin.

The Nurture of Human Nature

My forthcoming book (early 2026) 'The Nature of Human Nature' is based on the why and how the environment shapes and influences our behaviour.
